Thank you for choosing West Bay Surgery Center for your surgery. We strive to make your experience a pleasant and efficient one.
With that in mind, we like to inform of our patients of their financial obligations prior to surgery, so there are no surprises and/or misunderstandings.
The West Bay Surgery Center collects any co-payments, un-met deductibles, and co-insurance amounts on the day of surgery. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or contact our office at (727) 585-9500. Please note that co-insurance amounts collected are an estimate; your total financial obligation will be determined by your insurance company and will appear on the explanation of benefits. If our estimated amount is less, we will bill you the difference. If our estimated amount is more, we will refund you the difference.
We encourage you to also contact your surgeon, anesthesia group and your insurance company if you have any questions about your financial obligations. In addition, please make sure your authorization/pre-certification for your surgery is on file prior to the surgery.

If you do not have insurance, you are responsible for the entire surgeon, facility and anesthesia fees. You will need to arrange payment with each entity separately. The surgery center cannot accept payment on behalf of another entity. We will call you prior to surgery with the amount due on the day of surgery. Checks should be made payable to West Bay Surgery Center. We accept cash, check Visa and Mastercard. We will leave a message on your home phone in order to make sure you have this information. If you have not heard from us prior to the surgery date, we will not be collecting co-pay on the day of the surgery. As a reminder, you are still responsible for any balance left by your insurance company(ies). If you have other financial questions, please feel free to call us at (727) 585-9500. Our goal is to reduce or eliminate any additional stress in this area.
Care Credit is a personal line of credit for healthcare treatments and procedures that allow a patient to pay for services over time with *no interest charges (*6 month or 12 month plans with no interest), or extended plans available with interest (24, 36 or 48 months).
You can apply for a Care Credit account online or over the phone and quickly receive an answer. This program is called Pay My Provider. Patients will go to www.carecredit.com/pay when they are ready to pay their coinsurance or patient responsibility portion. You will not be required to get a signature, verify identity, or retain signed documents for 72 months. For more information go to www.carecredit.com/pmp.
